Thursday 20th March

I had a busy day today, it started early in the morning with a trip to the Town Square to listen to a briefing delivered by the Police about one of their Major Crime initiatives across the Borough. Here I am with some of the officers taking part.

I then travelled to Lords Cricket ground to watch the finals of the British Land Kids Cricket League. What a fantastic event. I bumped into Mike Gatting and spent time chatting to him about this brilliant opportunity for young children to become involved in one of our great games.

I finished the day at Get Living London, in the East Village, to celebrate the transformation of the Athletes Olympic Village into housing for local residents.

Leyton Library

Saturday 15th March I attended the Grand opening of the refurbished Leyton Library. The premises has been transformed with amongst other things new computers installed. The opening was attended by The Leader of the Council Cllr Chris Robbins and the poetic genius Mr Roger McGough.

President of Kashmir

On Friday the 14th March 2014 I was Honoured to host a visit to the Town Hall by the President of Kashmir. Since the visit His Excellency has extended an offer of a return visit to Kashmir. I have accepted and will be visiting with other Councillors in the coming few weeks.

100th Birthday Party

On Wednesday 26th February 2014 I attended The Manor Care Home, 110-112 Hainault Rd, London E11 to celebrate an outstanding achievement of a centurion at the home. Here I am with Mr Antonio Felice.
